Introducing: Songwriters Workshop
What to Expect
Big Lawn 2024 introduced a new workshop to the festival. This workshop is specifically tailored to emerging songwriters looking to collaborate. Songwriters are encouraged to sign up for one of twelve, 10-minute slots where they can perform their works in progress and receive feedback from other songwriters.
Last year's Songwriters Workshop was hosted by Poroyé and Blair Lamb, two phenomenal song writers based in New York City. Poroyé is also an alumnus of the 2023 Big Lawn Music Festival!
Our hosts guide songwriters through discussion and suggestions of how to improve their works in progress, while also sharing their own raw unfinished works. The Songwriters Workshop will take place during the festival from 3:30 to 5:30pm under the pavilion. Participation in the round permits songwriters free entry into the festival.
Sign ups open July 1st and are first come-first served, simply fill out the form and you're in! No need to send any audition materials.
